What data we process and why
When you write to us. If you use the contact form or send us an email, we process your name, email address, subject, message and anything else you choose to include, only to reply and, if your message asks for it, to prepare a collaboration, activity or training with you. The legal basis is the consent you give by writing to us (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, when we discuss working together, steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Spam protection. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3, which only loads on the contact page and analyses technical data about your visit (such as how you interact with the page and browser information) to tell people from automated programs. We do this in our legitimate interest in keeping the site and our inbox free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Usage statistics. Only if you accept them in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, from what kind of device and how people find them. We do not use it for advertising or to identify you. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Activities and projects. If you sign up for one of our activities, you will do so through a specific form that explains how that data is handled.
We do not make automated decisions or build profiles with your data.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: as long as needed to deal with your request and no more than two years after our last exchange, unless it leads to a collaboration, in which case they are kept while it lasts and for the periods required by law.
- Google Analytics data: the retention period set in the tool, never more than 14 months.
- Cookie preferences: 12 months, after which we will ask you again.
Who we share it with
We do not pass your data to third parties unless the law requires it. To run the website and email we work with providers that process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Webempresa (website hosting, servers in the European Union).
- Google (Google Workspace email, Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA).
Google may process data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as an adequate safeguard for these transfers.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, to object to processing or for data portability, and you can withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing carried out before. Write to office@backslash.es saying which right you want to exercise; if we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask you to confirm it.
If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Children
If you are under 14, please ask a parent or guardian to write to us for you or with you.
Security
The website only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to messages is limited to the team members who need to answer them.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this notice and the date below.
