Our objective

To ensure that young people who face economic, social, geographical, educational, linguistic or digital barriers can access meaningful learning and participation opportunities on equal terms. We do this by adapting opportunities to people's realities, rather than expecting people to adapt to the opportunities available.

Lines of action

  • Raising awareness and making opportunities known in accessible ways.
  • Providing support before, during and after activities to reduce barriers to participation.
  • Adapting materials, spaces, formats and methodologies to different needs and contexts.
  • Reducing economic, social, territorial, linguistic and digital barriers wherever possible.
  • Working alongside local organisations and specialist professionals who understand the communities they serve.
  • Strengthening the capacity of organisations working with young people with fewer opportunities through resources, methodologies and training.

Who we work with

  • Young people with fewer opportunities and those facing multiple barriers to participation.
  • Young people living in rural, peripheral or under-represented territories, including Overseas Countries and Territories in relevant programmes.
  • Youth workers, educators and organisations supporting young people in their everyday work.
