ARCHILAB – eLearning Architects: Designing the Future of the Labor Market

eLearning Architects is a European project that aims to improve the quality of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the field of eLearning. It seeks to bridge the gap between training and the labour market by equipping young people and VET professionals with the skills needed to design effective and accessible digital learning programmes.

The project addresses the lack of specific training for the role of eLearning Architect , offering an innovative programme that combines online and in-person learning, digital resources, and non-formal education materials.

Its main results include a transnational labour market analysis identifying the gap between VET provision and the growing demand for eLearning professionals in Spain, Croatia and Serbia; an 83-hour non-formal VET curriculum for eLearning Architects , aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and available in four languages, designed for professionals working in VET; and an open-access interactive self-learning platform featuring modules, quizzes, video tutorials and an eLearning ecosystem map, designed for VET students and learners to develop their digital learning design skills autonomously. Both results were tested through a transnational training in Serbia with VET professionals, who then mentored young people with fewer opportunities in the hands-on creation of real eLearning courses.

The project also carried out social media campaigns, hosted local workshops on sustainable digital education reaching 48 participants across the three countries, and organised final conferences with a combined audience of 57 people. Results were also presented at the European VET Digital Learning Forum organised by EVTA , placing ARCHILAB within the broader European conversation on digital transformation in VET.
