Safe Space 4 Youth

The Safe Space 4 Youth (SS4Y) project seeks to address the critical intersection between mental health and employability of young Europeans, especially those with mental well-being challenges. This project aims to empower both young people and youth workers by developing the skills needed to foster resilience and improve employment opportunities.

The project includes innovative initiatives such as the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, designed to equip youth workers with competencies in mental health prevention and early intervention strategies. It has also implemented a Peer Leadership Programme, which empowers young people to lead in their communities, promote mental health awareness, and implement social action projects.

We highlight pilot activities, transnational meetings, and dissemination events in the Czech Republic, Spain and Ireland, which have significantly increased awareness of youth mental health. In addition, the active participation of young people in community campaigns shared on social media, has demonstrated the practical application of the acquired skills, consolidating the positive impact of the project in their communities.

Results include the training of 56 youth workers and the participation of 147 attendees in multiplier events, exceeding planned targets.
