New resource from the BETYLI project: The Inclusion Toolkit

The Inclusion Toolkit: A Practical Guide to Combating Tokenism is now available. This comprehensive set of educational materials has been developed as part of the European project Beyond Tokenism: Young Leaders for Inclusion (BETYLI), with the aim of helping youth workers and educators promote real and meaningful inclusion.

The toolkit combines theoretical foundations with practical tools, offering a clear path for moving from tokenistic participation to genuine participation. Based on field experience and feedback from young people during the study visit to Saint Martin, the material brings together good practices, training methodologies and exercises designed to generate critical reflection and structural change.

What will you find in the toolkit?

Four theoretical chapters exploring what tokenism is, how it manifests itself, and how to overcome it.

A 5-day non-formal training programme, with 10 practical sessions ready to be applied in workshops.

Activities, case studies, and self-assessment tools to encourage inclusive participation.

Practical tips for integrating equity and genuine representation into everyday work with young people.

More than a guide, this resource is an invitation to rethink our practices and build spaces where all voices count.
