Nature VR is a project that combines virtual reality, environmental education and youth wellbeing to strengthen ecological awareness and support young people’s mental health.

The project addresses two key challenges: the growing disconnection of young people from nature and the increasing concerns around stress and emotional wellbeing. Through immersive nature-based experiences, Nature VR uses virtual reality as an innovative educational tool to foster learning about sustainability, climate change and ecosystems, while also encouraging emotional regulation, reflection and connection with the environment.

The project will develop educational VR content, implement pilot activities with young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, and train youth workers to integrate this methodology into their daily practice.

The ultimate goal is to strengthen young people’s environmental and digital competences, promoting active, resilient and environmentally responsible citizenship aligned with both ecological transition and wellbeing.
