Testing digital volunteering with young people through online pilot sessions

In March 2025, a series of online pilot sessions with young people took place within the framework of the European E-volunteering project. The aim was to explore how digital volunteering can create more accessible and flexible opportunities for young people to get involved, develop skills and contribute to social causes beyond physical borders.

During the sessions, participants were introduced to digital volunteering through practical activities, interactive tools and real-life examples. The online format allowed for an open and participatory learning environment, where young people could exchange ideas, reflect on their interests and discover new ways of taking part in volunteering initiatives.

The pilot phase generated strong interest and positive engagement, particularly around the practical approach and the discovery of new volunteering opportunities. The feedback collected will support the ongoing improvement of the project’s educational resources and help shape future actions related to digital volunteering at European level.

The E-volunteering project is co-funded by the European Union.
