ARCHILAB strengthens young people’s digital employability through e-learning creation

Last January, Backslash organised a face-to-face mentoring experience within the European project ARCHILAB: E-learning Architects for VET, aimed at strengthening the employability of VET students through the creation of e-learning content.

Over five intensive mornings of small-group work, participants moved from being online learners to becoming e-learning creators. Using the curriculum and e-learning developed within the project as a reference framework, they analysed its structure, resources and pedagogical approach, and applied their learning by designing their own digital course.

The mentoring process included hands-on work with tools such as Moodle Cloud, Lumi, Canva and CapCut, as well as reflection on quality criteria, risk analysis and instructional design. Beyond technical skills, participants developed key transversal competences such as teamwork, communication and digital project planning.

The experience also served to test and validate the ARCHILAB curriculum and e-learning in a real educational context, with highly satisfactory results in terms of clarity, relevance and usability for young people aiming to improve their professional digital profile.

As ARCHILAB approaches its final phase, the project consolidates tools and methodologies that position e-learning as a meaningful pathway for youth employability and innovation in VET education.
