BITE of Art project coordination team gathered in Valencia, Spain, from 4th to 8th of November, establishing the necessary foundation for the smooth implementation of the project activities. Besides the technical aspect of its implementation, development of the basic structure of the innovative BITE of Art model, the project team have worked on analyzing the current state of play in contemporary art and cultural operators in Europe. On that road, partners have discussed to implementation of the evidence-based surveys among cultural operators and youth, that will serve for accurate shaping of the BITE business model and sketch how to ensure the biggest impact of the BITE content on the contemporary art events around Europe. A significant contribution to the piloting of the BITE content will be experience and best practice from our partners and host – “El Carme” Museum of Contemporary Culture. They managed, through the application of the new site content, to increase the audience of their museum for 350% in the past 3 years, with very high young people attending.
BITE of Art project aims to empower cultural operators with modern marketing, business, ICT and communication expertise in combination with innovative contemporary art events and performances, creating a comprehensive package which aims to redefine approach of contemporary art to the market in its core, targeting and busting young people as a new audience of contemporary art.
