‘Geltu!’ – A short film about courage, identity and resistance in the face of hatred.
We are proud to share with you Geltu! a short film born from the talent, sensitivity and commitment of young people from five different countries. This audiovisual work tells the story of Blær, a vibrant and eccentric teenager who, after revealing her transgender identity, faces a wave of hatred and adversity.
But Geltu! is much more than a story of personal struggle. It is the result of a collective formative and creative process in which young people from different contexts came together to reflect and act in the face of hate speech.
Through previous workshops and trainings, they acquired tools to identify their multiple forms and build narratives that promote respect, empathy and inclusion. We hope this story inspires you as much as those who made it possible. Because when young people speak out, change becomes unstoppable.
If you want to know more about the project in which the short film was created, don’t hesitate to visit our website: b4h8 |
On the project’s website you will also find online and offline educational resources for working on hate speech with young people.
