MOBIUS: Youth Brokers of Social Innovation

The MOBIUS project’s main goal is to boost young people’s engagement in social innovation at the local, national, and European level. Through this project, we aim to strengthen the role of young people as agents of change, building their skills and equipping them with the tools they need to co-create innovative solutions in their communities. MOBIUS also works to involve migrant minorities and other vulnerable groups, fostering inclusion and active participation across society.

As part of the project, a range of educational materials has been developed, including the MOBIUS online training platform, aimed at young people who want to get started in social innovation but aren’t quite sure how to turn their idea into a real project. Practical tools have also been created for youth professionals, such as a competency map and an educator’s guide, designed to support young people as they use the platform. For both audiences, a tool catalogue was also put together, gathering examples of good practice tailored to young people’s needs. All of this work builds on an analysis of the current state of social innovation, both in Spain and the other consortium countries, as well as at the European level, which can be found in the reports available.

MOBIUS has trained young people from across Europe at both national and international level, with some participants getting the chance to travel to Greece to exchange ideas and experiences with peers from other partner countries. On top of that, each country ran events and conferences to bring MOBIUS to an ever-wider audience. The result: over 50 young people trained as agents of change, and a European network of more than 100 people ready to tackle today’s challenges with creative, sustainable solutions.
